Wales has the most castles per Square mile than any other country in the world and boasts the most well-preserved castles in the whole of Europe. All 23 castles in North Wales come with splendid architecture, dramatic scenery and gruesome history to discover.

We have two castles very close to Point of Ayre Holiday Park. Flint Castle and and Rhuddlan Castle, like most of the castles in Wales are both owned by Cadw. If you wish to visit more than one welsh castle ask for a Cadw pass on point of purchase.  Ruthin Castle over in the town of Ruthin, once a magnificent house to wealthy aristocrats is now a hotel with a medieval banquet, and is certainly worth a visit.

Here’s the daily Posts Guide to Castles you must visit.
